Welcome MAAMer! Motivated African American Moms of Multiples---our 5103c non profit, better known as MAAM, is the premiere help organization and provider of resources for African American mothers of twins, triplets, etc. We serve our community by providing access to supplies and information that are vital to the women who are on this extremely specific and unique motherhood journey.
OUR MISSION
MAAM is an organization founded to provide emotional, economic, and social support to African American Mothers of Multiples. Our mission is to equip mothers with the tools and techniques needed to adequately support their families while remembering to take care of themselves and enjoy all aspects of life.
OUR WHY
African American women lead the world in natural twin births. However, they also face the highest maternal and infant mortality rates. Centuries of systemic racism and sexism have disproportionately impacted their health and well-being. We aim to change this by prioritizing our MAAMers and offering them emotional support, economic empowerment, and access to vital resources. Together, we can combat these disparities and uplift Black mothers of multiples.
